Securing the Foundation of the Fight: How Swish and Check Point are Hardening the Critical Infrastructure Needed to Ensure Department of War's Logistical Combat Readiness
A Department of War agency operating one of the world’s largest logistics enterprises across more than 80 sites worldwide faced a converging set of pressures: nation-state adversaries actively targeting its OT infrastructure and a security team buried in manual administration across a fleet of nearly 200 firewalls. OT environments built around SCADA and industrial control systems were never designed for today’s hyper-connected, adversary-saturated threat landscape, and basic packet filtering firewalls were no longer adequate against modern full-stack intrusions. Swish and Check Point addressed both challenges with a two-pillar solution combining next-generation OT security and intelligent automation powered by Red Hat Ansible. The result was a hardened IT/OT perimeter, automated STIG enforcement across every device, and a cybersecurity workforce freed from routine administrative toil to focus on the threats that matter most to the mission.
